We received a call on late Friday afternoon, can we support in a recent Fire claim in Berkshire. We arrived onsite just before 8am, although we had the house number and street address, it was clear when you drove in the street what property was effected...

It’s Christmas Eve’s Eve.

Another year over, warehouse all cleaned down, machines and lights all turned off, team all away home to enjoy their Christmas break, alarms put on and home we go. To try and relax. Or so we thought……. Received a very late message from customers son. His 88 year old mum has just been released from hospital after being in for an operation. The hospital needed the space she was told. His mum was now having to sleep on the sofa in the lounge, as we had her bed and furniture in storage, she had a recent flash flood, builders had just finished that day and were away themselves for their festive break. I looked to my wife (the real boss) she looked back and said “we can’t leave her sleeping on a sofa, not at anytime especially Christmas”

This is our first blog and I thought I would try to give you weekly updates on what it is we do, welcome thoughts and insights. So what does a Flood and Fire Technician actually do? There is no simple answer to that question I'm afraid. All I can say is no two days are ever that same. We see people when they are at probably one of the lowest points in their life, we see people that have had their homes/lives ripped apart by a flash flood coming into their home after a storm, a burst pipe causing ceilings to fall down over their furniture clothing etc or it could be a devastating fire, that just wipes out everything. Or does it?
