Another year over, warehouse all cleaned down, machines and lights all turned off,  team all away home to enjoy their Christmas break, alarms put on and home we go. To try and relax.

 

Or so we thought…….

Received a very late message from customers son. His 88 year old mum has just been released from hospital after being in for an operation. The hospital needed the space she was told.

His mum was now having to sleep on the sofa in the lounge, as we had her bed and furniture in storage, she had a recent flash flood, builders had just finished that day and were away themselves for their festive break.

I looked to my wife (the real boss) she looked back and said “we can’t leave her sleeping on a sofa, not at anytime especially Christmas”

So Here were are Christmas Eve, we have been up to facility, opened up the storage areas that held the customers bed and furniture, transported them back to the home of the customer.

Customer was in tears at the fact we “could be bothered” her words to bring her stuff back at this time of year. I explained. It’s what we do.

The customer replied

“Unfortunately in this day and age people don’t seem to care as much as about others as they used to, they’re too wrapped up in their own wee world”

Sounds corny but Maybe that’s what separates us from others, we do what we do because we do care.
